One can only imagine the look on your faces if it was a requirement that anyone wishing to play the guitar had to learn to read music.
Should I Learn to Read Guitar Music?
The answer to this question is simple; if you want to become a career guitar player then it is highly encouraged to go ahead and learn music.
All in all, it would not hurt to know how to read music.
