For those who have just bought or borrowed their first guitar, it can seem like a long way from all those guitar players performing on stage and in music videos.
However, one saving grace for beginning guitar players is learning that first song.
That's something that more experienced and proficient guitar players don't hold over new guitar players.
Luckily, there are hundreds of easy guitar songs that beginners and advanced beginners can learn to get them through the monotony of all that practice.
Those who are learning under traditional music teachers have it even harder, spending hours and hours on something you can't really figure as part of any song you like.
The one release from the countless hours of practice is being able to choose an easy guitar song and attempt to learn it.
Although definitions of what might be an easy guitar song may vary, there are some songs that almost all guitar players find easy.
Another great factor that makes a certain song easy is whether the one playing likes the song.
There are also songs from other genres that are relatively easy to learn on the guitar.
Rhythm and Blues enthusiast probably enjoy learning Lifehouse's "You and Me" while those who enjoy country music will find Johnny Cash's "Hurt" and songs from rising star Taylor Swift's portfolio ( most notably "Fifteen", "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story").
The most important thing is to find a song that you like and the rest will fall into place.
