Softwood is supposed to be softer and yielding. Softwood tree have less covering over seeds, and these remain evergreen and doesn't lose their leaves. Softwood is less tough wood and can be scratched easily with your fingernail. It is easier to work with softwood, but these are more prone to warping.
Now it is known that both types of woods have positive and negative factors that are important to decide the frame quality. The use of woods in making frames depends on the user requirements only. As the quality of frames is dependent a lot on type of woods used so woods are used according to the need of frames in the market.
So wooden photo frames can be made up in different qualities and cost also varies with the quality. These are the most used way to protect the pictures and if used properly these will cause your walls to attract more people towards your pictures and walls. These provide multiple advantages so should be selected carefully to take the full use of them.
