Training a horse to do tricks or to be an obedient pet can be quite a challenge, let alone a wild a horse. How to train a wild horse is a problem among several horse lovers who have horses with tantrums that don’t seem to relate in anyway. But horse experts insist that all these wild horses need are focused attention, patience and some getting used to. They say that how to train a wild horse is no longer something to fear as long as you have him fenced while training.

The first thing you should do is to care for the horse and build a relationship with him. On the first days or weeks of training, visit the horse constantly and feed him, brush him and pet him. Do this until such time it becomes a routine for him and when he doesn’t put on a bad mood every time you arrive.

The next part of the training will involve having him get used to lead ropes saddles and bridles. Let him feel the rope again and again until he is desensitised. Then tie it on a halter and place it on him so he will be familiar with a lead rope. Then do the same with a saddle and then place one on him. Lastly show him the bridle and let him feel it too until you can finally place one on its head.

After all these you have to train the wild horse how to travel around the fence at least without throwing a tantrum. If he’s used to having you around try riding him within the rounded fence too. If all these work out give him a chance to walk around a wide field, but only once in a while. A wild horse has to be contained and disciplined, couple with controlled love.

Just remember when you already know how to train a wild horse, never force it to do what it can’t or doesn’t want to.
