Corian or Avonite have a rich visual texture, no grout lines, and is durable. Solid surface tops wipe clean and are resistant to stains, as well as mold, mildew, and bacteria.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
Most soil and residue can be cleaned up with soapy water or an ammonia based product (not window cleaner). Always be sure to thoroughly rinse and wipe completely dry to prevent any film or wax build up.
To remove hard water marks products designed to remove water deposits such as CLR or Lime-A-Way can be used.
To disinfect your countertop, a mild bleach solution is safe. However a Clorox Wipe-type product is recommended to control drips or spills. Bleach is not safe on cabinets or floors.
A Scotch-Brite pad and Soft Scrub can be used to clean sinks, but do Not use on the countertop surface. Always rinse when with water when done.
To enhance the gloss on your countertop, products such as Countertop Magic, Hope’s Countertop Polish®, or Enhance Countertop Polish can be used.
Although you countertop can handle heat it is always recommended that a heat shield and or cutting board be used to prevent damage.
