Classic American hamburgers like bacon and mushroom burgers, or internationally flavored taco burgers with a hint of hot can lend a significant flair and flavor.

There are so many nutritious, flavorful ingredients that can be added to the ground beef, like diced onion, shredded carrot, and minced bell pepper.


Seasonings are treated almost the same way, except after most of them are kneaded into the meat, the balance can be sprinkled over the outside.
Sometimes the meat mixture does not hold together when you try to shape it into patties and if this happens, mix a bit of milk in and try again.


What You Need:r

2 pounds ground beef
2 beaten eggs
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup crushed soda crackers
6 tablespoons olive oil, for frying
4 tablespoons hickory barbecue sauce
12 slices tomato
12 lettuce leaves
6 slices cheese
12 slices onion
6 tablespoons mayonnaise
6 hamburger buns

How To Make It:

Combine the ground beef, eggs, pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion, soda crackers, and barbecue sauce in a large bowl.
Make 6 patties about 3 - 1/2 inches wide and 3/4 inches thick.


Heat the oil in a large skillet over a medium high heat and fry 3 patties at a time for 2 or 3 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through with no pinkness.
Put 1 lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and onion slice on the bottom bun, with a slice of cheese atop that.
Put some mayonnaise on the inside of the top bun and place it on top of hamburger.


Serves 6
