I have two standard Poodles. They are brother and sister, this I believe causes them to think they are one dog. Each time I call one, they both come to me.
(Or is it the fact that each thinks they will miss out on something?)
They are a joy to me as I live alone and when I return to the house they are there to welcome me, unless they have conned me into taking them with me. They love the car and have travelled in it up to six hours, with stops along the way.
As they are Poodles they are high maintenance, however I was brought up with Poodles, my mother bred, showed and clipped them. So I can save a lot of money clipping them myself, it's amazing what you can do when needs are there.
I have a theory that my girl thinks she is human and my boy knows he is human. My boy is more demanding for himself and will not let up until he gets his food at five pm or thier water is topped up. My girl is more affectionate and doesn't care whether she has food or water, (I think she may leave that to my boy to organize) don't you?.
Have you often wondered why there are no Poodle police/guard dogs? do you think it might be the high maintenance or that it could look sissy to have one prancing along side a big burly person? (It is said that Poodles are the most intellegent of all the dog breeds).
There are lots of things to say about dogs and especially Poodles, however it could become boring for you, the reader, to write more.
Health, wealth and happiness, to yourself, family and friends.
