Now days, the need for lowering the petroleum dependency, gas emissions and new governments regulations has put a big pressure over the car and truck manufactures of the entire world. Hydraulics, as one of the most implemented ways to transmit power in mobile equipment has felt that pressure as well.
Hydraulic Manufacturers have come with plenty of answers in this matter. Among all the options presented so far there are two that probably are the most applied. With the use of Pumps, Motors, Accumulators, valves and electronic controls, Parallel and Series Hydraulic Hybrid systems have been developed.
Al though both trends approach the problem using the principle of storing the energy for the braking process filling an Accumulator to be used in the subsequent acceleration of the vehicle, they clearly obtain different results talking about millage, cost of investment and how easy it is to put it to work.
It is very interesting to know the differences between these two trends, Parallel and Series Hybrid Hydraulic Systems so, please continue reading in detail visiting: Hydraulic Hybrid Application>
