Without doubt, we’ve laid extra importance on ‘money’ and as a result, it has taken over our emotional lives, sexual lives and even our religious lives.
If you want to make money then there’s no dearth of books with titles ‘How to Make Money’. These are being written by experts and deliver tips on how to become one of 4% fortunate ones. Honestly speaking, I can’t offer you help on this. However, I could lessen the financial worries rooted deep in your mind; I could talk about something more important than making money. Allow me to introduce ‘Wealth – Beyond Belief’. It deals with ‘how to get rid of your negative beliefs about money’. Once these negative beliefs are disappeared, not only your thought-process and attitude will change your life as a whole will get a new shape too.
We see people around us keep talking about money and fretting how little they own it. No matter how much money they have, they’ll always want more, some of them even wait for that one day, when their hands will tire out weighing bundles of cash and happiness will bound to get caught. Lines such as ‘money can’t buy happiness’ or ‘how to be happy with yourself?’ are perfect bubble busters for them. But think from an unbiased point of view. Aren’t depression and hopelessness outcomes of demanding more? In my view, the mass media implants the false notion into our minds that money is next to panacea and it gets further fuelled by their presentation of celebrity images tagged with millions of bucks and huge exposure.
My own life has taught me the lesson. It has seen both episodes of ‘rags to riches’ and ‘back to rags’. I contemplated on it; why I had to undergo those roller coaster rides? I figured out that it was actually my own belief about money, which caused my collapse. I was smart, assiduous and had the appetite for sharing, but somewhere in mind, I happened to feel ‘I didn’t deserve money’. This mindset was responsible for my ruination.
My likings and disliking got shaped due to my upbringing. I grew up in an underprivileged family seeing people with money and other possessions. I began desiring all that they have. I never gave any consideration to the saying ‘how to be happy with yourself’, rather wanted an expensive car and a nicely designed, well-equipped house. But achieving these brought changes only to my outer conditions. From the inside, I remained alien to morals of rich lifestyle. My greatest fear was that one day others will find out the real me, who feels insecure when it comes to possessing money. Eventually, I went on with pretentious acts only to make my acquaintances feel that I am the same person, which I was before. Tragically, the only one to be fooled was no other than me. My ‘poverty consciousness’ took over my self-confidence and finally left me in a disrupted state.
The only thing that helped me out was disappearance of negative beliefs about money. After I got rid of them, I never stumbled upon the scarcity of money and always have it proportionate to my need. Gradually, money started losing all its powers over me.
