If I would be asked to choose a place on the face of this earth where there is ample natural beauty and the feel of being close to God, I would surely choose the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The state has anything and everything unique in some or the other sense. The natural beauty of this state cannot be compared to any place in this world.
The lake Tso Moriri in Ladakh has an imposing charm. The deep blue color of its water changes after the sunset. The animal and bird life of this lake is simply amazing. Feels like the Gods themselves take care of this beautiful lake. It is the largest high altitude lake in entire India. The rare migratory birds like the black necked cranes can be seen here. they make this lake their yielding land and lay eggs. Other easily seen animals are kiangs and marmots. The marmots, especially can be easily seen at the roadsides before your arrive at the lake. The famous Ladakhi Bharal, commonly referred to as the blue sheep, and the Himalayan mountain goats can also be spotted at a good frequency. This lake has beautiful views.
